Saw this hyped Akshaye Khanna movie on DVD @ home. One word before watching this movie (or reading this review)... leave your brains behind!!!!
Not so good...
  1. The story was total bullshit! How many times have we seen two big families having some age old conflict that prevents future generations of these families from acquainting with each other?
  2. Looks like Bollywood can still not have enough of this crap! This movie takes it to the limit... Amrish Puri, the patriarch of one of the families, has a board outside his door that reminds you of Gandhi, the movie: "Women & Dogs not allowed" !!!!!
  3. Lakshmi's dialogues: "Gajraaj... Gulab Jul Jadhko!!" and some other irritating "kul maryaadha" dialogues.
  4. Ending Garland sequence was horrible!
  5. Made absolutely no sense for Amirsh Puri.. the brave and prestigious man to turn guard for his enemies' wedding!
  6. Jackie Shroff and Arbaaz Khan were literally eunuchs in the movie!
Great...
    1. Paresh Rawal's comedy.. this was one of the strongest points of this movie.
    2. The casting of Lakshmi was apt.. she's done a good job. The hindi voice dubbing though, was pretty irritating!
    3. Akshaye and Kareena did a good job of hating each other even as they were dancing together in the hindi equivalent of "Aasai Aasai..".
    4. Suniel Shetty comes only in multi-starrers these days, but manages to steer clear of the others once again. Good job for a guy that's there just to make money!
Verdict...
Not recommended. This is an age old story, repeated with a comic tinge. Does not make one laugh enough. Easy to pass.

The analysis was good.. except that I was extremely offended that u put my fav dialogue of the movie - "Gajraaj, Gulaabhjal CHIDKO", not only wrong... but also as in the wrong category! The movie is recommended if u totally leave yr brains behind and refuse to think.:) 7:47 PM
